New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously meeting NDA MPs amid the winter session. On Friday, December 12, he will hold a meeting with NDA MPs from Uttar Pradesh at the Parliament House. Since all the MPs are present in Delhi at present, the Prime Minister is communicating with different groups one by one according to the states. Political experts consider this an exercise to clarify the government's priorities during the session and take direct feedback from the MPs.
Earlier on Wednesday, the prime minister had met Bihar NDA MPs. According to sources, the government's legislative priorities, regional issues, and parliamentary behavior are also discussed in these meetings. It is being said that in these conversations, the prime minister also wants to know from the MPs what kind of challenges remain in their areas and what kind of cooperation is expected from the Centre.
On Thursday night, Prime Minister Modi hosted a dinner for NDA MPs at his official residence, 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. Many senior leaders of BJP and allies participated in it. Regarding this meeting, PM Modi wrote on social media that inviting the MPs was a pleasant experience for him. He said that the NDA family expresses its commitment to work together for good governance and national development. Analysts believe that this dinner also gives a message of strengthening coordination in the alliance.
At the NDA parliamentary party meeting on December 9, the prime minister had said that India has now entered the “Reform Express” phase. He stressed that the reforms will not be just for economic benefits or increasing revenue but will be aimed at simplifying the everyday lives of citizens. PM Modi had appealed to the MPs to explain the reforms in a positive manner in their areas so that people know how the changes impact their lives.
Experts believe that the frequent meetings show that the government wants to work quickly in the remaining days of the session. Along with this, it is also believed that the Prime Minister wants to personally take opinions from the MPs on the political and administrative priorities of the next months. Many leaders of the Allies also said that these meetings strengthen communication and increase the unity of the alliance.
